We’ve Been Shortlisted For The Family Business Awards! | Luxury Care In Hitchin

At Foxholes, our wonderful care team is dedicated to providing luxury care in Hitchin.

This month, we were delighted to receive the news that our efforts have been recognised. We’ve been shortlisted for the Family Business United Awards 2021!

We’ve officially been named as a finalist in the ‘London and South East’ category of the awards, for both Family Business of the Year and People’s Choice Awards. We’ll be competing against 27 other Hertfordshire family-run companies for victory!

We’d love it if you could support us; you can do so via this link, if you wish. Please note that voting closes Friday, 30th April.

Our estate manager, Neil, has contributed a special personal message about our shortlisting: “On behalf of my family, who own and run Foxholes, and everyone else associated with the home, we’re honoured to receive such amazing news so early in the year. My parents bought Foxholes in 1999; demolishing the old nursing home to transform the building into a luxury £6million residential care home. It was always their ambition to give back to the community that’s given so much to them, and now my sister and I are also very much involved in helping to run the home, ensuring it provides the highest quality of care in the region.

“As a second-generation family business, we are humbled to be recognised in these awards and want to personally thank all those who have supported us over what has been a challenging past year.”

Organised by Family Business United, the award-winning magazine and resource centre that champions and celebrates the family-run business sector, the awards aim to recognise the diversity, strength and depth of family firms across the UK.

Now in its ninth year, the awards also seek to highlight the contribution family firms make to the UK economy, with previous winners including Aspall Cyder and Smith of Derby, amongst other industry heavyweights.

An elite judging panel will pick the overall winners of the Family Business of the Year awards, which will be announced at the awards ceremony in June. Due to the current rules around gatherings, awards personnel will determine whether to hold an in-person event in due course, or opt for a virtual awards evening similar to the one held in 2020.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone – friends and family – who have continued to support us, allowing us to continue offering luxury care in Hitchin throughout this incredibly difficult time.
