During our initial phone call, we take the time to have a thorough discussion to understand your needs and whether Foxholes is the right environment. If we feel that we may not be the best fit, we provide educated advice to help you explore other suitable options.

In some cases, families may have a different perception of their loved one's care needs compared to a professional assessment. To ensure the right level of support, we conduct a dependency assessment—a key step in determining suitability. This assessment is usually carried out on-site at Foxholes or, if local, in the comfort of the individual’s home. It helps us establish the appropriate care category and confirm whether Foxholes is the right place for them.

If Foxholes is the right fit, the dependency assessment also ensures that we put the right support and care in place from the very start, making the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible.

The admission process can be as quick as you’d like it to be. There are several steps involved:

• We’ll show you around our home so you can get a feel for the environment.

• If you wish to proceed to assessment stage, we’ll complete a financial assessment, which takes up to 48 hours for review.

• We’ll then schedule an assessment to evaluate your care needs.

• Based on this assessment, you’ll receive a grade that informs the associated fees.

• Finally, we’ll discuss a suitable moving-in date.

The speed of the process is largely in your hands. Once the assessment is completed and fees are agreed upon, we can quickly arrange a moving-in date that works for you.

Our all-inclusive offer covers everything you need for a comfortable stay, including:

• Your room

• All meals and snacks

• Access to events and activities

• Personal care

• Laundry services

Some additional services, such as professional hairdressing, nail treatments, and chiropody, are available at an extra cost.

Every room is fully equipped with the following:

• A profiling bed

• Spacious wardrobe

• Chest of drawers

• Desk

• Bedside table

• Over-the-bed table

• Armchair

• Television

All bedding and towels are provided as well.

We encourage residents to make their rooms feel like home, especially for those staying with us permanently. You’re welcome to bring personal items such as furniture that fits within the space, pictures, recliner chairs, or even your own television.

Before the assessment, you’ll need to fill out a Fact Find form (financial assessment).
If you choose to become a Foxholes resident, there will be several additional forms to complete, ensuring a smooth transition and that we fully understand your needs and preferences. These documents can be sent via post or email, depending on your preference.

Our fees are assessment-based and depend on the level of care required. We have several care categories that determine the weekly cost, ensuring that each resident receives the appropriate level of support tailored to their needs.

We accept self-funders only and provide guidance throughout the process. In some cases, we may recommend applying for an annuity to help with long-term care costs.
